Fair Trade
We source our products wherever possible on a fair trade basis. This entails not only paying a fair price to the producers but also investing in tools and materials for future production.
For instance our partners in Ghana with whom we first established links during a visit to the country in 1994, invest in tools, the replanting of trees and a storage facility for raw materials to even out the price fluctuations from dry to rainy season. Other suppliers in Vietnam, Indonesia and India have similar schemes
We are careful not to use the 'fair trade' label where there is no justification.
