The Monolini is a 21-string body monochord, with 4 different tunings that can also be played together. The Monolini can be played as a meditative instrument or applied to the body for sound massage. The curved shape allows it to adapt to a wide variety of body shapes.
I have worked as a music and sound therapist for 6 years with the Feeltone Monochord mainly in therapeutic institutions with people who have severe disabilities, including coma and dementia patients.
The new Monolini monochord allows me to widen these areas of application. The unusual design allows me and my clients to focus on the desired body regions. Especially for people with severe disabilities, who cannot achieve a "normal" reclining position, the positioning of the treatment monochord is important so there is no "slipping" of the instrument, as was the case with other models I tried. The Monolini monochord also impresses with its sound. For a small, lightweight monochord it produces an impressive sound volume. Due to the different string tunings it is possible to create different moods and effects. The instrument is visually an eye-catcher, and the wood and the craftsmanship have a wonderful feel. Different effects can be achieved by using small wooden mallets. I also use the Monolini Monochord in sound meditations and therapeutic singing. The Monolini Monochord is a small, strong "all-rounder".
