Description
The Repique de Mão is a key instrument in pagode, adding lively syncopated rhythms and counter-rhythms to the groove. It is usually played horizontally on the lap, like a rebolo or tan tan, or held at an angle while standing. One hand plays the drumhead while the other creates rhythmic accents on the shell.
