Agogo Bells

LP’s Agogo Bells are a pair of steel bells connected by a U-shaped steel handle. The bells are pitched a minor third apart and are used to play various Afro-Brazilian patterns. Made in the USA, they feature a bright, uniform timbre with medium to loud volume.

The AGGM-2 from Stagg is an Agogo bell that features two different tones.  the Agogo is a great percussion instrument particularly used in samba! It has both a high and low tone which can be played with a wooden beater (beater not included).

The MEINL Triple A Go-Go Bell has three tonally matched bells for a sweet sound fitting any musical style. The high bell may be played in counterpoint off the middle bell by compressing the spring handle. Bright chrome finish will hold up under intense play

These traditional agogo bells are a great addition to any existing samba outfit and are also good for developing rhythm in primary or secondary education. This instrument consists of two, tonally matched bells which are constructed in the traditional U shape design. The sound is clear and bright, sounding a little like two different sized cowbells.

The bells are comfortable to hold and can be muffled easily if you want to play softer tones. They can be pressed together to produce the characteristic click sound with little effort. Each bell also has 2 small muffling stickers on the inside to prevent lingering reverberation and unwanted overtones. Good-sounding agogô with a nice interval.
