Description
How to replace your gambito:
1. Soak the skin: Apply water to the centre of the drumhead until it’s soft and pliable.
2. Remove the old stick: Untie the knot and clear out any broken fragments.
3. Prep the new stick: Use sandpaper to thin the gambito to your preferred feel.
4. Install: Position the new stick in the centre of the wet skin and tie it securely. This is much easier with a partner—one to hold the stick and skin, the other to tie the knot.
5. Dry naturally: Let the head dry overnight. Avoid hairdryers or direct heat, as this makes the skin brittle and prone to tearing.
