KOW Painted cas-cas

Cas Cas shakers are traditionally made from gourds filled with beans and are played in most African countries, usually by women and children, to add rhythm to dances.

These super lightweight and colourful percussion instruments are played with one gourd held in the hand leaving the other to swing from side to side around the hand to 'clack' against the first.

Brought in directly from Ghana, all designs vary.
