- Probably originating in Africa, monkey drums are found all over the world and are a popular instrument with children.
- They are so easy to play - a monkey could do it!
- These monkey drums, or damassas as they are known locally, are made in a small family-run workshop in the mountains of Peru.
- Roll the stick in the palm of your hands- try and make different rhythms try changing the pace at which you roll!
