The reco reco is a scraper of African origin used as a percussion instrument in Brazilian music.
Originally made from bamboo or wood, for some time, reco-recos have been made of a metallic cylinder with springs attached and played with a metal stick, which results in a much louder sound.
- Reco recos have a long wooden or metal body with either a grooved surface, or a metal spring sounded by sliding a stick or rod along it.
