These are our biggest and best collection of Dunduns yet! Carved in Mali these instruments are made using traditional techniques.
Dunduns have the lowest pitch in the west African drumming family. They are played with large sticks and placed either on their side or vertically. The Dundun adds depth to an ensemble, played with widely spaced notes and long cycle patterns
A dunun is a rope-tuned cylindrical drum with a rawhide skin at both ends, most commonly cow or goat.
