These are our biggest and best collection of Dunduns yet! Carved from Guenou aka Hare, Khadi, Gueni or Balafon wood which is a hard dense wood in Mali these instruments are made using traditional techniques.

Dunduns have the lowest pitch in the west African drumming family. They are played with large sticks and placed either on their side or vertically. The Dundun adds depth to an ensemble, played with widely spaced notes and long cycle patterns 

A dunun is a rope-tuned cylindrical drum with a rawhide skin at both ends, most commonly cow or goat.

These double ended West African bass drums, also known as Dundun, are played individually or in sets three.

The Dun Dun is the bass line in djembe music and can be used to provide bass for other music as well.

They have been wrapped in a colourful Kente cloth which looks amazing. Sticks sold separately unless you buy the set of three in which case they are included!
