All of our cactus is deadwood collected by mule from hills high inland. Then they are cleaned and hollowed. Cactus needles are used for spiking into the interior, which is filled with pebbles before sealing.

In Hinduism, the damaru is known as the instrument of the deity Shiva. Said to produce spiritual sounds by which the whole universe has been created and regulated.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the damaru is used as an instrument in meditation practices.
